I collect forgotten photographs from antique markets and flea shops, not for what they are—but for the stories they still seem to hold.

Every vintage photograph has already lived one life. Once treasured by a family, many eventually find their way into antique shops and flea markets, separated from the people who loved them. These forgotten images become the starting point for my mixed-media collages, where layers of paper, acrylic paint, and texture give them a new story. In this article, I share why I continue returning to these photographs and what they teach me about memory, beauty, and transformation.
